J.K. Rowling commits her wealth to dismantling trans rights

J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, has become a leading voice against trans rights in the UK. She believes trans women should not be considered the same as those born biologically female, arguing it harms women’s rights.

Rowling recently targeted Olympic boxer Imane Khelif, accusing her of being male — a claim that led to a cyber harassment lawsuit with Rowling named as a defendant.

The Harry Potter cast, including Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, have publicly opposed Rowling’s views.

Now, Rowling plans to use her wealth to fund a private foundation supporting legal battles over what she calls “sex-based rights.” She’s pledged royalty earnings to this cause and supports groups like ‘For Women Scotland,’ known for opposing trans-inclusive policies.

Despite backlash, Rowling remains committed to promoting her stance.
